As many of you will know, we are planning a get together this summer in Westbank BC.
I turn 60 this fall and it seemed a suitable occasion for family to gather. Feats of strength and airing of grievances will be featured.
The date is Saturday, August 11.
The location is the Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park.

We have the site from opening to closing time. That is from 6AM to 9PM. We are working on a site to go to after 9PM, for those who are still awake at 9PM.
The spot is away from the nut orchard but has a lovely shaded area for setting up either chairs or tables, a clear area between the shade and the beach, but still near the toilets.
We have a gazebo tpe of tent , BBQ, tables, and chairs for 40 people. There is a cooler available for drinks although many of us will bring our own.
We bring food, drinks, dishes, water toys and towels, sun block, bug spray etc.
If you can use google maps, then you can find it interactively. Failing that, the map is at top.
This blog is intended to be the primary method of disseminating information. I will set it up so that anyone can leave comments so that you can communicate with others via comments or by asking me to post.

So here it is Thursday already, and no-one has taken the first, easy shot? Alright, I'll do it - so-o-o-o-o, you're going to get the "family" together at the "nut farm"? That old chestnut of Dads about the nut not falling far from the tree begins to bear fruit, if you'll excuse the mixing of metaphors (but not the drinks).
